In 2015-16, Maxo released a pair of mixtapes. The first of which was titled #187Maxo and included mega-hits 1998 featuring Joey Bada$$ and Cell Boomin featuring Father. His follow-up, The Persona Tape, only elevated his hype with 46 minutes of pure southern heat.

Maxo’s debut studio album Punken dropped on January 12, 2018, to very positive reviews. The tape featured production from the likes of Sonny Digital and Honorable C.N.O.T.E. It also packed guest appearances from Trippie Redd and 03 Greedo.

Personal Life

Kream and his girlfriend welcomed the rapper’s first child (a daughter) into the world in October of 2021. Maxo also cares for his niece, the daughter of his brother who sadly passed away in 2020 following being gunned down in a Los Angeles apartment.

Maxo actually draws back on Houston hip hop legend Scarface for a lot of his inspiration pertaining to rhythm and sound. Crime was a part of Maxo’s life from an early age, at 13 his older brother was incarcerated for aggravated robbery, joining their father behind bars.
