Shemar Franklin Moore was born in April of 1970 in Oakland, California to parents Sherrod and Marilyn Wilson. It’s not known what job his father held, but his mother was a business consultant. Moreover, he is of African-American, Irish, and French-Canadian descent.

As an infant, Shemar moved to Denmark with his mother. Then, they moved to Bahrain four years later. After returning to the U.S. in 1977, the family settled in Chico, California.

Moore has never been married and much of his personal life has been kept close to the vest.

From 2014 to 15, he dated soccer player Shawna Gordon. Then, he dated Quantico actress Anabelle Acosta in 2018.

Interestingly, Moore launched a retail company known as Baby Girl LLC. a couple of years ago.

Commendably, its profits are used to help fight multiple sclerosis, which his mother had. In 2016, actor Keith Tisdell plead guilty to stealing more than $60,000 from the company.
