Joseph Glenn Herbert was born in June of 1971 in Tacoma, Washington to parents Jack and Josie. His father was in the United States Air Force stationed in the Philippines when he met and married Koy’s Filipina mother.

Meanwhile, his mother raised Jo and his siblings after their father left the family. His sister’s names are Rowena and Gemma, while his brother’s name is Robert.

As far as education is concerned, Koy attended Spanaway Lake High School before eventually graduating from Foss High School. Then, the family moved to Las Vegas to be near his sick grandmother.
