Blueface is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who is best known for realizing viral success through his music. Most notably, his song Thotiana and his debut album Famous Cryp.

Early Life

Blueface was born Johnathan Jamall Porter on January 20, 1997, to parents Johnathan and Karlissa. His father works as a sales manager while his mother runs a sports club in Columbus, Ohio.

Blueface attended multiple elementary schools throughout Mid-City. He then went to Arleta High School where he joined the marching band and played football. As a quarterback, he led the school to a league championship in 2014.

The artist would commit to playing ball at Fayetteville State University, but he’d only spend a brief period of time at the school. As a youth, Blueface took a liking to rap music, listening to The Game, Snoop Dogg, and 50 Cent.

After posting videos containing that went against Instagram’s TOS, on his Instagram story, Blueface’s account was deleted as of January 2021. The social media outlet likely received a slew of reports from viewers, resulting in their swift action of banning the rapper from their app.

Over the past few years, Blueface has garnered worldwide attention through his tracks Respect my Crypn, Thotiana, and Next Big Thing. His 2019 hit Thotiana received remixes from both YG and Cardi B. Remarkably, the music video for his song Stop Cappin tallied over four million views within four days.

Blueface has released one studio LP so far in his career. Find the Beat features 16 tracks and guest appearances from artists like Polo G, Lil Baby, DaBaby, and a few others. Moreover, the project came out under Cash Money and Republic Records.

The rapper has one child as of 2022, a son named Javaughan Porter. Prior to making music, Blueface was unemployed for the most part, sometimes holding temporary gigs.

In unfortunate circumstances in which the artist was nearly robbed at a gas station, Blueface was charged with shooting at an occupied vehicle after firing at the suspect’s car. He was later released on $50,000 bail.

Then the following year, he was detained for felony gun possession after officers recovered a loaded, unregistered pistol in his possession.

In July of 2021, the rapper turned bare-knuckle fighter. He scored a unanimous decision victory over Kane Trujilo at BKFC 19 in Tampa, Florida. He first fought an exhibition before fighting his unsanctioned bare-knuckle bout. In that contest, he easily got past TikTok star Trujilo.

After the fight, TMZ caught footage of a crazed fan attacking the rapper essentially immediately after getting his hand raised.

Blueface Girlfriend

After splitting with his baby mama in 2020, Blueface linked up with his current girlfriend Jaidyn Alexis. Dating for several months now, the couple has been in the news for their frequent disagreements.

In the past, the rapper has dated Benzino’s daughter Coi Leray who is also a rapper. Actually, just prior to Christmas, Blueface and Alexis announced they will be welcoming a baby in the near future.
