Damon Anthony Dash was born in May of 1971 in New York City. Unfortunately, the identities of his parents are unknown. Tragically, his mom died from an asthma attack when he was 15.

Meanwhile, he has one sibling, a brother named Bobby. As a teenager, Dash saved money for sneakers by sweeping the floors of a local barbershop and selling newspapers.

Dash was actually dating R&B singer Aaliyah at the time of her death in 2001. The executive claimed in an MTV interview that the two planned to get married prior to her passing.

In 2005, Dame married fashion designer Rachel Roy. Prior to divorcing in 2009, the couple had two daughters, Ava Dash (born 1999) and Tallulah Dash (born 2008).

Additionally, Dash has a son by the name of Dame “Boogie” (born 1991) with Linda Williams.
