Sebastian Maniscalco was born in July of 1973 in Arlington Heights, Illinois to parents Rose and Salvatore. His mother was a secretary while his father worked as a hairstylist.

In August 2013, Maniscalco married Lana Gomez. Together, the couple has two children; daughter Serafina and son Caruso. Interestingly, his wife studied art at the University of Tennessee.
