William Jonathan Drayton Jr. was born in March of 1959 in Roosevelt, New York to parents Anna and William Sr. Notably, he is cousins with rappers Ol’ Dirty Bastard, RZA, and GZA.

Lastly, the rapper partnered with Nick Cimino to open Flav’s Fried Chicken in 2011. Then, he opened Flavor Flav’s House of Flavor in Las Vegas a year later. However, the restaurants have since closed as a result of Flav failing to pay rent.

Personal Life

Flav had his first three children with Karen Ross. Then, three more with Angie Parker, a son with Elizabeth Trujillo, and another child with Kate Gammell.

Sadly, Flav’s mother passed away in December 2013. The rapper was charged with possession of marijuana and unlicensed operation of a vehicle on the way to her funeral.
