Early life

Ana Barbara was born Altagracia Ugalde Mota on 10th of January, 1971 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She has not shared enough detail on her past life, parents, and academic background. Though, she was interested in singing and performing since she was a little kid.

Barbara began her career by competing at the local Miss Universe beauty pageant, where she represented her native state. She was able to win the beauty pageant. However, after she competed at the national level, she failed to win the title. Following that, she moved on and focused on singing. She didn’t miss any chance to perform at the local talent shows.

Barbara got a big break in 1994 after she was noticed by the record executives from the Spanish record label, Fonovisa. Barbara gave birth to her third child in December 2011 through artificial insemination. The father of her child is her best friend, Reyli. She took the decision to have a third kid after her two children, Jose Maria and Emiliano suggested that they want a bigger family.
