Fulmer was born on June 1987 in Jacksonville, Florida. Nothing much is known about his upbringing, parents, and early life. Though, it is known that he spent his early days in Chicago and Los Angeles. He attended the chess camp and built model rockets while growing up. For his study, he joined Yale University.

Ned started his journey along with his three co-companions Eugene Lee Yang, Keith Habersberger, and Zack Kornfeld in 2014. The four began making videos for Buzzfeed. They came into notice after their video titled, Guys Try on Ladies’ Underwear For The First Time went viral. Surprisingly, the video was seen 22.4 million times. Afterward, they launched their own YouTube channel.

At the initial phase of his career, Fulmer served as an actor, director, and writer for the sketch group, Warm Milk. He worked with the sketch group for over 3 years until August 2013. During the time, he also served as an improviser on Harold Teams, “Hey, Rocket!” and “Juneboy”. Likewise, he worked as an R&D Chemist at WR Grace in for over two years until August 2013.

After a while, he shifted to Los Angeles to work for Buzzfeed. He became associated with BuzzFeed as a development partner in December 2013. Fulmer worked as a development partner for more than four years until August 2018. Fulmer and three creators rose to early fame in the 2010s as a part of BuzzFeed’s YouTube channel where they tried various activities or skills.

The Try Guys however left the outlet in 2018 to found their own company. At that time, the group started posting on their channel. In December 2020, the quartet released the documentary titled “Behind the Try”. The Try Guys shared a tweet on Tuesday, September 27, revealing that Fulmer is no longer working with The Try Guys. Shortly after the announcement, Fulmer confirmed the rumors regarding his alleged extramarital affair.

Ned Fulmer is married to his wife, Ariel since 2012. Together, they share two sons, Wesley James and Finn. Their first son was born in 2018 and their second son was born in 2020. In August 2020, Fulmer and his wife started a parenting podcast, Baby Steps. In November 2021, he wrote via Instagram that Ariel is the most fun and energetic mom, the most supportive and caring wife.

On September 27, Fulmer shared via Twitter that he lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship with his show producer, Alex Herring. The scandal broke out by Herring’s fiance, Will Thayer contacted a Reddit user, who posted the messages that he has proof where Herring and Fulmer were making out. The unnamed accuser sent a message to Herring’s Fiance saying that he went to Niagara the club last night and saw Herring making out with Ned from the try guys.

Herring’s fiance revealed that he had spoken to Fulmer’s wife, Arian for an hour about the allegations. He also deleted all pictures with Herring and made his account private. Soon after the scandal, The Try Guys released a statement confirming that Fulmer is no longer with the group.
