Fulmer was born on June 1987 in Jacksonville, Florida. Nothing much is known about his upbringing, parents, and early life. Though, it is known that he spent his early days in Chicago and Los Angeles. He attended the chess camp and built model rockets while growing up. For his study, he joined Yale University.

Ned started his journey along with his three co-companions Eugene Lee Yang, Keith Habersberger, and Zack Kornfeld in 2014. The four began making videos for Buzzfeed. They came into notice after their video titled, Guys Try on Ladies’ Underwear For The First Time went viral. Surprisingly, the video was seen 22.4 million times. Afterward, they launched their own YouTube channel.
At the initial phase of his career, Fulmer served as an actor, director, and writer for the sketch group, Warm Milk. He worked with the sketch group for over 3 years until August 2013. On September 27, Fulmer shared via Twitter that he lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship with his show producer, Alex Herring. The scandal broke out by Herring’s fiance, Will Thayer contacted a Reddit user, who posted the messages that he has proof where Herring and Fulmer were making out. The unnamed accuser sent a message to Herring’s Fiance saying that he went to Niagara the club last night and saw Herring making out with Ned from the try guys.
Herring’s fiance revealed that he had spoken to Fulmer’s wife, Arian for an hour about the allegations. He also deleted all pictures with Herring and made his account private. Soon after the scandal, The Try Guys released a statement confirming that Fulmer is no longer with the group.
