Jose Alberto Pujols Alcantara was born in January of 1980 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. His father, Bienvenido, was a softball pitcher who struggled with alcoholism. Unfortunately, his mother’s identity isn’t known.

Pujols married his wife Deidre Pujols back in 2000. Together, the couple had five children: Isabella, Albert Jr., Sophia, Ezra, and Esther Grace before divorcing in 2022.

In 2006, the athlete opened a restaurant located in Missouri called Pujols 5 Westport Grill.
