In 1976, Gifford married composer/arranger/producer/publisher Paul Johnson. Prior to getting divorced in 1982, the couple released Christian music and appeared in Christian magazines.

In 1986, she married a second time; this time to television sports commentator Frank Gifford.

Overall, they had two children together, Cody Newton (born 1990) and Cassidy Erin (born 1993). Unfortunately, Frank passed away in 2015 due to natural causes.
