Willie Falcon and his friend Sal Magluta, who would later become his business partner went to high school together. For some side income, the two started to work together to sell small quantities of cocaine and marijuana while still in high school. The two would decide together to drop out of high school.

After dropping out, they focused even more on selling drugs. One of their early big deals came when they helped to dispose of 30 kilos of cocaine working with an old friend named Jorge Valdes. After this, they would start working with bigger quantities and over time became one of the largest distributors for selling cocaine from Colombia.
Falcon and Magluta had their strengths and made a good team together. He would work as a connector and establish important contacts while Magluta worked on negotiating and getting the deal done.
Falcon was very good at using his old friends and acquaintances that he had developed among the Cuban American community. Furthermore, they also got creative and used the sport of boat racing to the network with different personalities as well as use it as a way to transport drugs from the Bahamas.
Over the years, they would manage to smuggle close to 75 tons of cocaine into the North American region. Finally, Falcon along with his business partner Magluta would be caught in April of 1991. By this time, they had managed to accumulate a huge fortune of $2.1 billion in cash and assets which showed the scale that their operations had reached.
Previously, they had managed to escape arrest using their contacts and through bribery. They spent four years in maximum security after being arrested in 1991. However, a lot of drama would occur before a trial finally occurred in 1996 as three potential witnesses were murdered while two were severely wounded in attempts of assassination. He would be released from federal prison in 2017 at the age of 62.

Willie Falcon was married to a woman named Alina Rossique. Together with Alina, the couple shared three children whose names are Aileen Martinez, Jessica Falcon, and William Falcon. However, a tragic incident would occur that led to Alina being shot and killed while leaving a beauty parlor. Later reports confirmed that this was random street violence. Alina was only 33 years old.
