Chris Daughtry was born on the 26th of December, 1979 in McLeansville, North Carolina, United States. He was born to his parents, James “Pete” Daughtry and Sandra. Chris stayed in Laster, North Carolina until he was 14, and then he moved to McLeansville, North Carolina along with his parents.
Regarding his education detail, he has studied at the Fluvanna County High School based in Palmyra. He earned his high school graduation degree in 1998. He started taking music seriously at 16 years of age. Chris even learned guitar from the blues-rock guitarist, Matt Jagger. While in high school, he was a member of various rock bands.

Chris had the high school band named Cadence, where he played rhythm guitar and sang as a lead vocalist. In 1999, the rock band produced an album titled “All Eyes on You”. Chris gave an audition for the CBS singing contest, Rock Star: INXS in 2005, where he could not make the cut for live performances.
Chris later gave an audition on the fifth season of American Idol in Denver, Colorado. He eventually cleared the audition stage though the judge, Simon Cowell was not satisfied with his performance and disapproved of him. While other two judges, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul was happy with his performance due to which they gave him a Golden Ticket to Hollywood.
On Mary 10, 2006, Chris made it to the final four. Though, the host, Ryan Seacrest later revealed that he has been eliminated. After peaking up the top four spot, he has performed in various shows such as “The Tonight Show”, “The Today Show”, and “Total Request Live”. In 2019, he participated in the second season of the reality singing competition show “The Masked Singer”, where he finished as the runner-up.

Chris Daughtry is married to Deanna Daughtry since November 2000. Together the pair shares four kids. Though the couple’s first two kids, Hannah and Griffin are from his Deanna’s first marriage. In November 2010, he became a father of twins, Noah James, and Adalynn Rose.
Chris recently lost his 25-year-old stepdaughter, Hannah, who was found dead in her Fentress County house on November 12, 2021. He flew back home from his concert tour when he heard the sudden death of his daughter, Hannah.
