Alex Patricia Morgan was born in July of 1989 in San Dimas, California to parents Michael and Pamela. Meanwhile, the soccer star has a pair of older sisters by the names of Jeni and Jeri.
Morgan and her sisters grew up in the suburb of eastern Los Angeles known as Diamond Bar. Starting soccer at an early age, Alex’s father was among her very first coaches. Although, she didn’t begin playing club ball until her teenage years.
The athlete attended Diamond Bar High School where she was a three-time all-league pick. While in high school, Morgan joined the Olympic Development Program (ODP) regional and state teams.
When she was just 17 years old, she was invited to play for the United States under-20 women’s national soccer team.
Morgan enrolled at and graduated from UC Berkley with a degree in Political Economy. She played four years of college ball, finishing ranked third all-time in goals scored (45) and points (106) for Cal.
